The night before, the prophet’s mouth was opened
No longer silent, for the Word of God came to him
As surely as I live, those left in the ruins will fall by the sword
I will make her land a desolate waste, and her proud strength will come to an end

Then came a man
Who fled Jerusalem
Dread dripped from his lips
Hear the poor survivor’s cry!
