They experience his favor, their descendants inherit the land
The Lord 's loyal followers receive his guidance, and he reveals
His covenantal demands to them
I continually look to the Lord
For help, for he will free my feet from the enemy's net
Turn toward me and have mercy on me, for I am alone and oppressed!

Strangled by the snake
That creeps up your back
And it devours your sight
Crawls into that orbit

It feeds itself, lays eggs into that slime
That mass that once controlled a being
And now falls into decline

On knees, torn open to the bone
And broken fingers still form
Those hands, with a prayer on those lips
